Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Social Worker to join our Children and Families Duty Assessment team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of good outcomes for children and young people in the Scottish Borders local authority area.
Key Responsibilities
As a Social Worker within the Duty Assessment Team, you will be responsible for undertaking initial assessments of risk and need, considering all the information received, and working directly with children and young people and their families. You will also work to ensure that children and young people are helped to remain in their own homes and local communities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have an appropriate social work qualification at degree or diploma level (DipSW) and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). You will also need to be a team player, empathic, enabling, and resilient with a 'can do', solution-focussed approach.
