Research Governance Manager

Are you a research professional looking for a challenging role that combines governance, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement? We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Governance Manager to join our team at The Gambling Commission.
About the RoleAs a Research Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our research outputs. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust research governance systems, quality assurance measures, and procedures to meet the Code of Practice for Statistics and wider best practice.
You will work closely with our research team to develop and embed research governance systems and principles, ensuring that our research is of the highest quality and meets the needs of our stakeholders. You will also be responsible for maintaining oversight of the use of official statistics by external parties and contributing to the design and delivery of our research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement research governance systems and quality assurance measures to ensure high-quality research outputs
- Develop and embed research governance principles and procedures to meet the Code of Practice for Statistics and wider best practice
- Maintain oversight of the use of official statistics by external parties
- Contribute to the design and delivery of research projects
- Work with stakeholders to build engagement and confidence in our research processes and outputs
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced research professional with a background in research, analysis, and/or statistics. You will have experience of leading or managing research projects, developing analytical processes, and quality assurance methods. You will also have strong analysis skills, including experience of working with different types of data, and strong spoken and written communication skills.
