Manufacturing Operations Manager

The Manufacturing Operations Manager will lead a team of manufacturing professionals to ensure the delivery of performance for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery against agreed targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of all appropriate processes and act as a role model for desirable behavior.
  • Accountable for the cell team's health and safety.
  • Manage the team's absence and behaviors to ensure they meet the expectations of the MTC.
  • Inspire a culture of continuous improvement and strive to empower team members to take action to resolve issues independently.
  • Empowered to stop work and tasks, should the behavior or process be inappropriate or unsafe.
  • Overall day-to-day management of the Cell schedule and its performance against commitments for schedule and cost, while ensuring quality and safety requirements are maintained.
  • Influence the strategic capability requirements for the future development of the cell's machines and people.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • Significant and proven experience and technical expertise in a manufacturing discipline.
  • Experience in managing teams to achieve business objectives.
  • An understanding and experience of implementing and executing Lean manufacturing principles within an operational cell.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into a deployed capability installation.
  • UK National, holding or capable of achieving further security clearance.
