Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Scientist to join our team at BioTalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and guide the scientific strategy of the company.
  • Manage and oversee internal project management across all sections, ensuring delivery of project milestones according to timelines in accordance with the project development plan.
  • Lead a team of 3 scientists and manage relationships with external service providers, including consultants and CROs.
  • Support the VP and CEO in defining the business strategy by guiding pipeline development.
  • Provide expert opinions on all aspects of research relevant to drug discovery and preclinical development in the areas of Oncology and Immunology.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Immunology/Cancer Cell Biology or a related field.
  • Over 5 years' industrial experience in biotech/pharma/CRO within drug discovery and research.
  • Prior experience in the successful design of pre-clinical in-vivo cancer models and in vitro compound screening cascades.
  • Experience in direct or matrix team leadership.
Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a performance-related bonus scheme and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
