Job Role
- Oversee the maintenance, security, and health and safety aspects of the school site, its grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment.
- Liaise with contractors and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out to a high standard.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the school site is well-maintained and safe for students and staff.
- Monitor and control budgets for maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.

School Site Manager (Caretaker) Job Summary
The successful candidate will have high standards and expectations, take pride in their work, be proactive, and be able to respond and react to daily demands as well as plan ahead. They will have a good standard of DIY/maintenance skills, good level of IT, literacy, and numeracy skills. An understanding of health and safety and security will be needed or a willingness to learn. A commitment to being a team player who can contribute to a friendly and supportive working environment is essential. The role will be varied and will include day-to-day responsibility for all maintenance, security, and health and safety aspects of the school site, its grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment as well as liaising with contractors. This is a varied role where you will need to be confident working on your own and be self-motivated with excellent time management skills. Reliability and good problem-solving skills are key. As a dynamic organization, we are always looking for new ideas and ways forward.
