Key Responsibilities- Assist mechanics and technicians with vehicle servicing and repair tasks, ensuring high-quality work and meeting customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and available when needed, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.
- Monitor stock levels and help manage inventory for parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring accurate records and efficient ordering.
- Conduct basic vehicle checks, such as fluid levels and tyre pressure, to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Support the maintenance of our fleet, including refuelling, washing, and vehicle inspections, to ensure vehicles are in excellent condition.
- Assist in loading and unloading parts and equipment, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing delays.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the Garage Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient garage operations and contribute to the success of our team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and repairs is advantageous but not essential.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with basic computer skills for inventory and equipment tracking.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and taking on varied tasks, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
