The position of Quality Control Laboratory Technician is available within a leading manufacturing organization. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity of final products and raw materials through systematic testing.
Role Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct routine evaluations of products and materials following established in-house testing protocols. Candidates with experience in materials testing, including but not limited to metallurgical and construction materials, are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £23,000 to £29,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Eligibility for company performance bonuses, potentially up to three months' salary each year.
- This is a permanent role from the outset, with opportunities for accredited training and personal growth.
- Standard working hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Occasional night shifts may be required, attracting a 30% shift premium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and grinding of raw materials such as aggregates, water, soil, and sand.
- Creation of samples for testing.
- Conducting physical tests on products, including compressive strength, water absorption, and density assessments.
- Performing instrumental chemical analysis.
- Engaging in various general laboratory tasks as directed by management.
- Data entry into a computerized management system.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience in laboratory testing, either through formal education or practical work.
