Quality Inspector

**Role Purpose**:

- **To support the business to deliver the product quality required by our customers through the continual inspection and control of raw materials, sourced and manufactured items, and assemblies.**:

- **To identify and implement non-conformity investigations, and continuous improvement activities, aimed at ensuring that our customers receive a consistently high standard of product quality.**:

- **To support the maintenance and development of our Quality Management programme (ISO / IATF)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Certifications** - support JET PRESS in the maintenance and improvement of its Quality agenda and reputation
- **Documentation** - prepare accurate and timely quality documentation as required by JET PRESS and/or our customers (dimensional reports, FAIR, etc.)
- **Statistical Process Control **- maintain the SPC system and interpret the output, capturing potential issues early, and making recommendations for improvement to the Quality & Safety Manager, measuring the impact of change
- **Process Design **- work with the management teams at our production sites to drive product quality improvements through process improvement (APQP, FMEAs, Control Plans)
- **Effective Operating Procedures** - maintain and audit effective work instructions (SOPs) for inspections, operations, and quality assurance activities
- **Continuous Improvement** - identify and drive product quality improvements
- **Non-Conformity Investigation** - own the investigation surrounding product NCs and conduct root cause analysis, making recommendations for the implementation of permanent corrective actions
- **Supplier/Customer Liaison** - work closely with suppliers and customers to resolve any identified product quality concerns and/or complaints alongside the other internal teams
- **Equipment Maintenance** - ensure that all measurement/calibration equipment is fit for purpose, and that appropriate records are maintained as evidence of maintenance programme
- **New Products** - support the development and introduction of new products to market
- **Training** - design and deliver coaching/training sessions to colleagues as required to support the delivery of consistent quality products, waste reduction, and reduced PPM failure.
- **Health & Safety** - support the onsite H&S initiatives, including conducting appropriate risk assessments, to enable retention of ISO 45001
- **Environmental Management **- support the Company initiatives to maintain and improve our environmental impact, enabling the retention of ISO 14001

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Clear communication style with the ability to work with all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
- Problem solving including root cause analysis skills
- Technically minded - able to read technical engineering drawings
- Skilled at operating measuring and testing equipment
- Working knowledge and experience of PPAP and/or FAIRs

**Experience**:
Essential:

- Worked in a quality/inspection role within a production environment
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems

Preferred:

- Experience of working with customers in either the Automotive, Aerospace or Medical sectors
