Early Years Educator

About the Role:
The Early Years Apprentice will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and education for children while undertaking a formal qualification in childcare. As a key member of the nursery team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the nursery is compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and promote diversity and equality in the nursery environment.
- Work as part of a team to achieve common goals, sharing ideas and feedback to create consistency.
- Demonstrate the HEART principles in everyday working life, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Take initiative and show resilience to take responsibility for getting things done, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents/carers.
- Contribute to children's records through observation and attendance at staff meetings and training sessions.
- Work alongside your assessor, attending all required training sessions to complete the formal qualification.
- Manage your own time effectively to complete required coursework within the given timeframe.
- Drive your own development through active participation in appraisals, one-to-ones, and requesting supervisions as needed.
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers, taking a proactive approach to stand out amongst competitors.
Requirements:
- Willingness to undertake a formal Level 2/3 Early Years qualification.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to demonstrate these through coursework and observations.
- Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with children and adults, and reflect on and respond positively to direction to improve own performance.
