Forklift Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Engineer to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our Field Service Team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders, and reach trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and maintenance of material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Identifying potential repairs and faults to prevent downtime and ensure maximum efficiency
  • Carrying out PAT and lifting equipment inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service to business customers, including booking planned maintenance and agreeing workload with the Field Service Team Leader
  • Supporting Patch Engineers and ensuring all chargeable services are completed
  • Ensuring all fleet servicing is completed by the end of the month and maintaining daily telephone contact with the Operations Controller
Requirements:
  • Experience in servicing, repair, or maintenance of material handling equipment, construction plant, agricultural machinery, or powered access equipment
  • Knowledge of automotive, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Relevant technical qualification advantageous

Location: Burford

Salary: £31,000 - £36,000
