The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the manufacturing process across multiple departments, including machinery operations, hand assembly, and dispatch. They will oversee production schedules and meet delivery targets, ensuring quality standards are maintained across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire production process, overseeing multiple departments, including machinery operations, hand assembly, and dispatch.
  • Lead a team of 3 direct reports and circa 60 indirect reports, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, getting the best out of your team through strong leadership, motivation, and mentorship.
  • Oversee production schedules and meet delivery targets, ensuring quality standards are maintained across all departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to align production output with company objectives and customer demand.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all production areas.

Requirements:

  • Proven background in manufacturing, ideally in a managerial role.
  • Exceptional team leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and the ability to manage multiple departments effectively.
  • Experience in delivering results through people, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage production schedules and work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
