Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our renowned NHS Hospital in Surrey. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient dispensing of medication.

Salary and Benefits

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the safe and efficient dispensing of medication to hospital patients.
  • Support qualified pharmacists with the preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals.
  • Organise and maintain medication supplies and stock levels.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and assist with inventory management.
  • Provide advice and information to patients and hospital staff on prescribed medications, under supervision.
  • Assist in the storage and distribution of medicines in line with NHS standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy assistant role, ideally in an NHS setting (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player who is adaptable and proactive in supporting the pharmacy team.
