Job Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical Coder to join our team and contribute to our mission to provide high-quality care to our patients. As a Senior Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for translating medical information into clinical codes, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with local and national standards.

Main Duties
  1. To translate diagnoses and procedures from clinical documentation into ICD-10 and OPCS-4 codes.
  2. To enter these codes into our electronic patient records system, adhering to local and national guidelines.
  3. To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection.
  4. To participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Hold a National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) or have at least 5 years of experience in clinical coding.
  • Have a strong understanding of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications and their application in clinical coding.
  • Be proficient in using electronic patient records systems and coding software.
