We are seeking a compassionate Senior Children's Nurse to join our team at Leaders in Care, a leading children's hospice in North London. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care to babies, children, and young people with complex medical needs.
About the Opportunity:
This is an excellent chance to work in a supportive environment that prioritises the well-being of seriously unwell children and their families. As a Senior Children's Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and Band 3 + 4 Specialist Carers, as well as providing training and development opportunities to staff and family members.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and Band 3 + 4 Specialist Carers.
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the hospice, children's homes, or community settings.
- Plan and review care in collaboration with families to ensure safety and advocacy.
- Ensure fun, sensitivity, and compassion are integral to the care provided.
- Administer medications and maintain the nutritional status of all children.
- Offer training and development opportunities to staff and family members.
Your Benefits and Compensation:
The salary for this role is up to £49,976 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a competitive benefits package, including 25 days of annual leave, increasing with service, plus the option to buy or sell leave. Additionally, the role includes pension contributions up to 6% from the employer, with NHS pension options for nursing staff.

What We Are Looking For:
- Registration as a Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch).
- Relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level.
- Experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions.
