Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver practice nursing services, working closely with the practice nurse associate and other allied health care professionals.
  • Provide care within your scope of practice to our patient population, including cervical smears, baby and adult general immunisations, chronic disease management, health promotion, travel vaccinations, and infection prevention and control.
  • Support the practice management team in reviewing and delivering clinical policy and procedure.
  • Act as the Infection Prevention Control (IPC) lead, implementing audits, training, support, and evidence of compliance to the practice manager.
  • Assess patient needs, ensuring the provision of healthcare is appropriate and incorporating evidence-based practice.
  • Develop, implement, and embed health promotion and wellbeing programmes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with extant legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with the practice chaperone policy.
  • Implement vaccination programmes for adults and children.
  • Support the clinical team with all safeguarding matters, in accordance with local and national policies.
Person Specification:
  • Registered Nurse with a current NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience in working in Primary Care.
  • Certification in immunisation and vaccination.
  • Experience in chronic disease management.
Requirements:
  • Effective time management.
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
  • Experience using EMIS.
