Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team at Arnold Clark. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Your Role:
As a Mechanic, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, using your technical skills and knowledge to diagnose and repair faults on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards, while also providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance tasks to high standards.
  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Repair or replace broken or defective parts and resolve defects.
  • Road test vehicles to check repairs.
  • Maintain equipment and tools.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed.
  • Complete documentation to the required standard.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional performance bonuses of up to £9,000 every three years. Overtime is paid at time and a half, and we offer 33 days annual leave with room to grow, flexible hours, and toolbox cover.

Requirements:
To be successful as a Mechanic, you will need:
  • A Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and relevant work experience.
  • Competent and efficient work, either alone or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • A full driving licence.
