About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Coventry Building Society. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows Server infrastructure and mission-critical applications across traditional datacentre and cloud platforms.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be the Subject Matter Expert, providing strategic expertise to ensure the effective management of our Infrastructure. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement standards and governance, troubleshoot production issues, and document and build new systems.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Exchange Server Administration. You should have excellent troubleshooting skills and experience working within an ITIL environment.

Essential Skills

  • Windows Server expert in several product versions
  • Demonstrable Active Directory knowledge to strategic design level
  • Expert understanding of Group policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Microsoft Exchange Server Administration experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Windows based applications
  • Experience of working within an ITIL environment

Desirable Skills

  • PowerShell or other infrastructure scripting skills
  • Knowledge of Globalscape EFT
  • M365 / Exchange Online
  • Citrix Experience
  • SCCM and server patching
  • Exposure to VMware Esxi and Vcentre.
  • Amazon AWS experience
  • Microsoft Azure experience
  • Exposure to File servers and services
  • Certificate Services.
  • Experience with Backup software
  • Antivirus suites
