Renfrewshire Council is looking for an experienced Lighting Infrastructure Technician to maintain our street lighting infrastructure network. The ideal candidate will have completed an Electrician Apprenticeship and hold an Electrical Industry Health & Safety qualification IEE Regulations 18th Edition.

Responsibilities will include carrying out risk assessments, diagnostic inspections, and pre-inspecting and measuring areas for repair works. The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate knowledge of NICEIC & IEE Regulations, including adherence to BS7671, and be proficient in populating standard electrical certificates to industry requirements.

A current IPAF card and proficiency in using technology such as tablets, PDAs, and mobile phones are essential for this role. A LGV license or equivalent CPC Card up to 7 hours is desirable, but not mandatory. However, a current full driving license is essential.
