Job Summary

St Wulfstan Surgery is seeking a skilled Practice Nurse to join our team. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Manager
  • Perform clinical reviews and assessments, administer injections and vaccinations, and assist with procedures as directed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Work effectively with patients, families, and carers to provide patient-centred support and care
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the team's performance

Requirements

  • Registered nurse with current NMC registration and active PIN
  • Post-registration study in topics allied to general practice
  • Chronic disease management qualifications
  • Competence to undertake Asthma, COPD, and Diabetic clinics/reviews and hold relevant certificates
  • Understanding of health and safety issues
