About the Role

Aveva is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) professional to lead the development and implementation of its ERM framework. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of presenting risk insights and mitigation strategies to senior leadership and will be familiar with corporate governance frameworks such as the UK Governance Code and PCAOB standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ERM framework to identify and manage key risks impacting the business
  • Establish and maintain a risk register to track and monitor risks
  • Prepare concise and insightful risk reports for senior leadership
  • Embed risk management practices into key business functions
  • Drive the fraud risk assessment process and maintain the associated risk framework
  • Develop fraud risk assessment criteria
  • Coordinate with other second-line functions to ensure the cycle of risk assessment, risk response, assurance, and feedback is completed
  • Maintain Group Risk Register
  • Manage 'Emerging Risks' initiative and align with Going Concern, Viability, and other resilience initiatives
  • Ensure correct allocation of risk ownership and facilitate assignment of interfunctional or interdependent risks
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in enterprise risk management and apply these where relevant
  • Consider internal and external factors and rate of change to corroborate the risk assessment process
  • Provide insight on emerging and cross-functional risks to leadership and drive a coordinated approach
  • Support risk disclosures in external reporting

Ideal Experience

  • Experience implementing and running ERM within a comparable global corporate business demonstrating the value of effective risk management
  • Experience of presenting at C-Suite level
  • Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management practices and wider corporate governance frameworks, including the UK Governance Code and PCAOB standards
