Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Gray Healthcare, a specialist Health and Social Care provider. The successful candidate will support an individual with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and PTSD, providing 1:1 assistance for 12 hours a day in their own home.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in social care, ideally within mental health, and be able to implement detailed care plans and risk assessments. A full UK driving license is desirable, as well as experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Suggest various activities to promote the individual's mental wellbeing, taking into account their interests such as watching Netflix and listening to music.
  2. Assist with household cleaning routines, including hoovering, to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
  3. Work collaboratively with a female team on day shifts to provide comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving License (Desirable)
  • Experience Supporting Individuals with Behaviours that May be Considered Challenging
  • Experience Implementing Detailed Care Plans and Risk Assessments
  • This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
