Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Paraplanner to join our team at Ascot Lloyd Group. As a key member of our paraplanning team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Financial Advisers and IFA Administrators to deliver exceptional client service.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality paraplanning support, ensuring that clients receive consistent, compliant, and proactive advice in line with our values. This will involve working closely with our Financial Advisers and IFA Administrators to support the clients' advisory process, providing quality sales support through effective software use, and adhering to set processes and procedures.
Main Responsibilities- Review fact finds, file notes, client risk profile questionnaires, and other relevant documents provided by Financial Advisers to understand client requirements discussed and agreed.
- Conduct necessary research and analysis, including fund research, product comparison, charges analysis, and investigation of taxation implications.
- Compile suitability reports detailing recommended advice to suit client needs.
- Discuss reports with Financial Advisers and amend as necessary.
- Generate and submit case packs to Tax and Compliance teams as required.
- Instruct IFA Administrator to proceed with preparation of client packs.
- Record, monitor, and report on progress via Intelligent Office.
- Report obstacles and deviations from agreed timescales to Financial Advisers and IFA Administrators to manage client expectations.
- Brief Paraplanning Manager on potential service delivery failures for swift resolution and process revisions.
- Support Treating Customers Fairly initiative.
Ascot Lloyd must adhere to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR), developing a culture where employees take personal responsibility for their actions.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Financial Planning Diploma qualification or equivalent professional qualification, or working towards.
- Demonstrable experience in end-to-end paraplanning roles.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in research tools, including Selectapension, FE Analytics, Avelo Exchange/Assureweb/Lifequote, and Voyant.
- Experience of centralised investment propositions, including single fund multi-asset/multi-manager solutions, discretionary fund managers, and model portfolios.
- The ability to work with templated suitability reports and include additional bespoke explanations/discussions.
- Prioritise and juggle workload effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Knowledge of MS Office software applications and adherence to policies and procedures.
