Environmental Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced HSE advisor to join our team in Ellesmere Port, UK.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, submitting regular reports to relevant authorities.
- Develop and deliver effective HSE training programs for staff, contractors, and visitors, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Provide expert guidance and support on HSE matters, empowering employees to work safely.
- Assess and manage operational risks, implementing control measures to minimize harm.
Salary Information:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive PAYE direct rate of £280 per day worked, based on 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, for a period of 6 months.
Requirements:
- Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Bring significant experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in energy from waste, renewable energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
