Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Building Control Surveyor to join our team in Cheshire West and Chester. As a key member of our building control team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects, providing expert advice, and ensuring compliance with the Building Act, Regulations, and directives from the Building Safety Regulator.

About the Role:

  • Lead a small team of Building Control professionals to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Undertake licensed building regulation activities, working on domestic and commercial projects, and supporting others in workload and career development.
  • Ensure adherence to the Building Act, Building Regulations, and directives from the Building Safety Regulator.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours dangerous structure call-out rota (Standby allowance paid).

What We Are Looking For:

  • A highly experienced and skilled Principal Building Control Surveyor with extensive experience in building control, including leadership roles and expertise in Building Regulations and allied legislation.
  • A valid license for building regulation activities and registration with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2F.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Ability to work from home and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
