Job Description

Role Overview

The Depot Manager will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and efficient operation of the Depot, working closely with Siemens on the class 717s to realise the reliability standards that we expect this fleet to operate at.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain our trains to deliver a safe, reliable, and compliant railway in line with SLAs and Quality/Availability targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve depot operations, associated safety risks, and mitigations.

Requirements

  • An understanding of engineering maintenance practices (from safety-critical industries).
  • An appreciation of general depot operations, associated safety risks, and mitigations.
  • Experience in helping drive a positive inclusivity and collaboration working culture.
  • Developed strategic thinking, building solid interdepartmental relationships, and the ability to operate at all levels.
  • An engineering background (apprenticeship, internal training or similar).
