Supporting Vulnerable Young People

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Graduate Mental Health Support Worker. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who are at-risk.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) and associated social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will identify the risks and needs of each individual, escalating where necessary, and provide consistency and guidance to help them feel safe, secure, and empowered.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology graduate to gain valuable experience working with vulnerable young people and develop their skills in supporting individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEN and associated mental health challenges
  • Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Identify and escalate risks and needs of students, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Provide consistency and stability for students, helping them to feel secure and empowered

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people or in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
