Faculty Position in Nursing

The Widener University School of Nursing is seeking a dynamic faculty member to join our team. As a clinical track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing curricula, collaborating with colleagues to develop and review curricula, and engaging in scholarly productivity to advance nursing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver evidence-based teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review curricula
  • Engage in scholarly productivity to advance nursing knowledge
  • Mentor and advise students
  • Participate in student recruitment and service to the university and community
Requirements:
  • Earned Research Doctorate (PhD, EdD) in nursing or related field (required for tenure-track) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (Clinical Track)
  • Current Multistate Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Pennsylvania RN licensure (or US RN licensure and eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania)
  • Three years of academic teaching experience (can include clinical teaching)
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as an APRN or CNS
  • Current clinical practice in area of specialty
  • Experience with student advisement
