Job Title: Training Programme CoordinatorJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Training Programme Coordinator to join our team at West Thames College. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating staff training and development programmes, ensuring seamless delivery and effective communication with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize staff development days and conferences, including venue setup, trainer briefings, and material preparation.
  • Sourcing external suppliers for training and professional development, ensuring value for money and quality compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal trainers and the Assistant Principal to ensure effective communication and good collaboration.
  • Coordinate inductions and mandatory training for probationers, ensuring timely completion according to schedule.
  • Research and book external training provision, raising and issuing relevant paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain online systems for monitoring, tracking, and reporting on CPD of the college workforce.
  • Co-ordinate applications for Work Related Qualifications, preparing paperwork and participating in decision-making processes.
  • Administer the college appraisal process, collaborating with managers to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure good housekeeping of CPD resources and information, providing regular reports to the Vice Principal and other stakeholders.
Person Specification:
  • Level 2 Certificate in Learning & Development Practice or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to coordinate processes and manage expectations.
  • Attention to detail, with ability to maintain accurate records and ensure timely returns.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, maintaining excellence and integrity under pressure.
  • Commitment to effective team working, with ability to share ownership of team targets and provide creative solutions to new initiatives.
  • Relevant IT skills and willingness to undertake training as required.
  • Awareness and understanding of equal opportunities, the Prevent and Safeguarding initiatives, and the college's values and principles.
