Job Description

We are seeking a senior consultant to support our insurer and reinsurer clients with outwards reinsurance transformation projects, as well as help drive business development and thought leadership on this topic. You will work in a dedicated, international team of outwards reinsurance experts, collaborating closely with Synpulse’s Outwards Reinsurance Lead for the UK & Europe, based in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in growing our outwards reinsurance practice through thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and upskilling the wider team.
  • Support delivering outwards reinsurance transformation projects for leading global (re)insurance clients, capturing requirements, designing to-be processes, facilitating workshops, data analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain a good overview of the market for outwards reinsurance systems and develop in-depth knowledge of specific partner systems, including understanding the underlying data model.
  • Contribute to outwards reinsurance business development and thought leadership, organising or attending market events, conducting research, writing whitepapers, and preparing proposals.

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree.
  • Ideally, you have at least 3 years' professional work experience in consulting, the (re)insurance industry, or a (re)insurance technology vendor role, with a good understanding of reinsurance and the London Market.
  • Ideally, you bring experience working in the outwards (ceded) reinsurance space, in either a transformation or operational role.
  • You are numerate and comfortable being exposed to data and technology concepts.
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are an organised self-starter who is adaptable and eager to learn.
  • You value a collaborative and professional feedback culture, prioritising developing relationships within the Synpulse community and externally with clients and partners.

Salary and Benefits

Our salary range is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, plus additional benefits, including 25 days annual leave, pension contributions, private medical insurance, life insurance, and enhanced family-friendly policies.
