SEN Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Wigan school. As a key member of the Early Years team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs in our reception class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for young children with SEN.
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with Early Years children, particularly those with SEN.
  • SEN experience is highly desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional reference checks are required.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
