Paediatric Nutrition Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietitian to join our Paediatric Dietetic Team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a vibrant and thriving department that continually engages with new research & technology.
About the Role: As a paediatric dietitian, you will be responsible for providing specialist nutrition advice and management to patients referred for nutritional assessment and treatment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal health outcomes for children and young people.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of paediatric patients' nutritional needs, identifying areas for improvement, and developing personalized care plans.
- Providing expert guidance on dietary interventions, including tailored meal planning, fortification strategies, and enteral feeding regimes.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions between community and hospital settings.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Participating in education and training initiatives to enhance professional development and share best practices within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Dietetics or equivalent with current State Registration with the Health Professional Council.
- Evidence of further postgraduate experience in specialist area.
- Postgraduate training in behavioural change/motivational interviewing techniques.
