About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Reviewer and Client Manager to join our team at Careersat Ltd. As a key member of our accountancy practice, you will play a vital role in providing professional accounts and practice reviewing services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice Reviewing: Conduct thorough reviews of practice files completed by the team, providing feedback and training on review points, including limited company accounts, sole traders, partnerships, and tax returns.
  • File Preparation: Prepare file notes and identify areas of interest for the client relationship director to discuss with clients.
  • Post-Review Adjustments: Make necessary adjustments to bring files to internal completion.
  • Pre-Audit Accounts Preparation: Assist in preparing pre-audit accounts and provide guidance to the team for audit clients.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the team, including training and identifying training needs, managing apprenticeship requirements, and ensuring all studies and training are up to date.
  • Work Planning: Assist with work planning requirements, ensuring sufficient time and resources to complete jobs.
  • Client Relationships: Be the point of contact for some of our client base and build positive working relationships with clients and the practice.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of the team and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
  • Technical Expertise: Have knowledge of accountancy computer software, including CAS, IRIS, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Staff Support: Deal with staff queries in a timely and efficient manner and assist colleagues and trainees with development and technical advice.
Requirements
  • Accounts Reviewing Experience: Proven experience in accounts reviewing.
  • Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least 3-4 years post-qualified experience in a practice environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Reporting Skills: Excellent reporting skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: Highly competent with outstanding commercial acumen and a solid grasp of business aims and objectives.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience and a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Client Experience: Previous experience of working with SME clients/businesses.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential.
