Job Title: Senior Communications and Content Officer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Communications and Content Officer to join our Judicial Communications team at the Ministry of Justice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing effective communication strategies that shape the broader culture within the judiciary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Work with the Head of Judicial Communications to plan, implement, and assess communication strategies that engage Judicial Office Holders and promote desired behavioral change.
- Content Creation and Management: Identify, design, and develop content for the judicial website, social media channels, and internal communications, ensuring consistency and relevance for different jurisdictions and audiences.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Build strong relationships with colleagues across the Judicial Office, HMCTS, and MoJ to gain early involvement in judicial communications and provide expert advice on audience segmentation and channels.
- Communication Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of existing communications methods and channels, using insights to support future communications across the Communications Team.
- Representation and Support: Support and represent the team internally and externally as necessary, and participate in the social media out-of-hours rota.
Requirements:
- Experience in Communications and Content Creation: Proven experience in creating content for a range of audiences, understanding audience needs, and producing tailored content.
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems: Familiarity with website/intranet content management systems and videography/filming and editing experience.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and make effective decisions.
- Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively.
Working Arrangements:
The Ministry of Justice offers hybrid working arrangements, where business need allows. All employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in an office, subject to local estate capacity.
