Job Title: Residential Children's Home Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team at our Children's Home in Wakefield. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding Therapeutic Support workers in their daily tasks to ensure the well-being of young people in our care.

The Role:

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing service delivery, ensuring compliance with procedures, and assisting with the administration of cases. You will also have the opportunity to mentor staff, leading by example and promoting best practices.

Requirements:
  1. Must have Level 3 in Residential in Children and Young People or equivalent.
  2. Experience leading a team shift for 12 months.
  3. Working with Children/Young people in a residential setting for at least 2 years.
  4. Strong leadership and management skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  6. A genuine passion for working with children and promoting their welfare.
  7. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  8. Willingness to undergo training and professional development.
  9. DOLS experience.
  10. Experience in trauma informed model of care.
  11. Knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted Requirements.
  12. Be confident and resilient.
  13. Computer literacy.
  14. A driving licence.
