Job Title: Interim Head of Business Partnership

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As an Interim Head of Business Partnership, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our business relationships.

The Role

You'll report to the Chief Data Officer and be accountable for transforming the leadership and direction of our Relationship Management practice. Your goal will be to deliver excellence in creating and managing deep relationships between IT and the rest of the global Group.

Working closely with the IT leadership team, you'll support and inform our approach to wider engagement and help build the 'personality' of IT as core to our success.

In this role, you'll need to balance the 'how' you do things with the 'what' you do. We're looking for courageous ideas and challenge, presented with kindness and generosity of spirit.

Building intimate relationships is a complex and iterative process, so you'll be actively supported to make a positive impact, using your judgement, at pace, to get things mostly right, most of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop metrics for understanding customer vision and need, perception of IT, effective demand and risk management
  • Create a framework and improvement plan for global BP governance aligned to IT and corporate strategy
  • Develop a framework and improvement plan for global 'personality', processes, ways of working and communication
  • Build a culture that's more embedded and trusted, with the courage to challenge
  • Recruit, train and mentor new team members aligned to the plans above

Day-to-Day

  • Lead the Relationship Management practice, ensuring they build deep and impactful relationships
  • Define, govern and deliver common frameworks to ensure a strong and dynamic alignment with the ITLT and senior customer stakeholders
  • Deliver against agreed annual and longer-term financial plan and budget
  • Act in accordance with good corporate governance principles

Requirements

  • Experienced communicator at all levels of the organisation
  • Management experience at a senior level working with IT professionals and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills backed by a drive for accuracy and outcomes that add value
  • Understanding of complex information and requirements
  • Confidence in decision-making and team-playing mentality
  • Strong financial management
