Job Overview

XYZ Reality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Daily Site Inspections: Utilize XYZ's Augmented Reality technology, the Atom, to conduct daily site inspections and ensure that works are installed correctly, on time, and as per the BIM Model.
  • Establish and Maintain Control Networks: Use a total station to establish and maintain a control network, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Produce Inspection Reports: Generate reports based on daily inspections, highlighting any issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate with Contractors: Attend meetings with contractors to plan daily activities and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Data Processing and Review: Process and review all acquired data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report to the Senior FAE/FAE Manager, maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
  • Weekly Lookahead Planning: Work with the Contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme, minimizing the risk of incorrect installation.
  • Revit Model Preparation: Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models to export into HoloSite.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience: A qualification (diploma or degree) or 2+ years of experience in land surveying, construction surveying/setting-out, or geospatial/geodetic engineering or similar.
  • Strong Work Ethic and Ambition: A strong work ethic, ambition, and interest in new technology.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate a Total Station is desirable.
  • Language Skills: English fluency (written and oral).
  • Software Skills: Any knowledge related to 3D software (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) or BIM/BIM360 is beneficial.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Must be confident in using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Essential Requirements: Existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
