We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planner to join our team at Werfen. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for planning and controlling inventory levels to meet sales and distribution demand.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate inventory replenishment with strategic partners, analyzing inventory levels and positioning to ensure compliance.
- Meet annual goals for inventory levels of finished goods products.
- Project and minimize scrap exposure by identifying issues and proposing solutions.
- Coordinate shipments to strategic partners, including drop shipments, replenishment, and lot management.
- Monitor forecast and safety stock levels, adjusting accordingly.
- Review stocking orders with strategic partners for product availability and scheduled ship dates.
- Allocate shelf life products for shipment to ensure contract minimum dating requirements.
- Develop and maintain inputs to computerized inventory management systems.
- 3-5 years of working knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures, material planning, and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with Demand Planning and the Sales and Operations Planning Process in a mixed distribution and direct to customer environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or Economics, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working with products controlled by shelf life.
- Previous experience with computerized inventory and distribution management systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency with computers, including spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs.
