Job Title: Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled Head Pastry Chef to join our luxury hotel in Devon, as part of our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, fine dining pastry dishes for our restaurant guests.

Job Summary

The Head Pastry Chef will lead a small team of pastry chefs and be responsible for the pastry section, achieving good food and supplies cost controls, assisting with the planning and coordinating of new menus, and taking on additional duties as required. The successful candidate will have a fine dining background and be passionate about all things pastry.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the pastry team and be responsible for the pastry section
  • Achieve good food and supplies cost controls
  • Assist with the planning and coordinating of new menus
  • Take on additional duties as required, including ordering from suppliers and meeting with sales representatives
  • Ensure cleanliness is of the highest standard at all times and be vigilant in respect to health and safety issues
Requirements
  • Fine dining background and experience in a 2-3 Rosette environment
  • Ability to lead a team and achieve cost controls
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for pastry and fine dining
