Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional IT teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in South Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a unique opportunity for a teacher to deliver high-quality IT education and foster students' technological skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver IT lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  2. Develop students' understanding of computer science, digital literacy, and information technology.
  3. Implement innovative teaching methods, incorporating modern technology to enhance student engagement.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to improve educational outcomes and contribute to the broader school community.
  5. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events to ensure alignment with school goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching IT or Computer Science at secondary level (preferably Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
  • A strong passion for teaching and helping students develop their skills in IT and digital technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the school culture.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to purchase a new one.
