About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your clinical skills and expertise in ophthalmology. You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide care to patients with a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' vision using various techniques
- Assist in theatre clean room environments
- Conduct diagnostic tests for patients
- Carry out telephone and face-to-face preoperative assessments for cataract surgery
- Take on leadership, education, and supervision of the team
- Lead department huddles
- Coordinate ophthalmic clinics on a daily basis
- Contribute to the ophthalmic health of all patients
- Experience in numerous ophthalmic specialist clinics
- Involve patients/relatives/carers in the delivery of care
- Provide and develop a safe quality of care for patients and carers
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Staff Nurse who possesses the following skills and qualifications:
- RGN/RSCN/RM/RN Child
- Detailed knowledge of professional accountability and NHS issues
- Importance of equality, diversity, and rights in patient care
- Evidence of continued learning
