About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our team at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, responsive services for patients with neuromusculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions related to pregnancy and/or women's health problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • To be clinically responsible for a designated caseload of patients/clients and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of women's health patients/clients with antenatal and/or postnatal musculoskeletal conditions and patients with gynaecological or urological problems using a range of recognised and specialised clinical assessment techniques.
  • To determine a diagnosis and prognosis through the application of clinical reasoning skills and specialist knowledge of physiological and pathological processes and syndromes, with neuromusculoskeletal/Orthopaedic conditions related to pregnancy and/or to women's health problems related to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction and/or other urological or gynaecological conditions.
  • To be able to recognise when a patient may need onward referral to an orthopaedic specialist, obstetrician, gynaecologist or urologist due to the severity/prognosis of their presenting problem.
  • To formulate/develop and undertake evidence-based plan taking into account the management options available.
