About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team at HCML. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service in the Musculoskeletal (MSK) service delivery area.

The role involves supporting the delivery of MSK services across various business channels, developing expertise in MSK and incorporating it into our integrated healthcare model. This includes conducting holistic multidisciplinary assessments, providing MSK advice, and addressing underlying issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • To develop and deliver comprehensive MSK training programs for new starters, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • To analyze data and identify areas of MSK development across all business service channels, informing strategic decisions and driving improvements.
  • To collaborate closely with the Health Care Plan team to deliver clinical scrutiny for MSK interventions, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes.
  • To provide coaching and guidance to case managers, enhancing their basic MSK knowledge and improving their ability to address complex cases.
  • To conduct appropriate MSK calls, including guided self-help, aches and pains, and medical solutions, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills.
  • To monitor incoming referrals through MSK dashboards, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • To manage a caseload within the Functional Restoration Service, delivering 1:1 and group sessions from locations in Worcestershire.
  • To maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Functional Restoration Program and contribute to service development discussions, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • To attend regular MSK team huddles, contributing valuable insights and suggestions for service enhancement.
  • To engage in monthly check-ins with the Team Leader, discussing progress, challenges, and areas for growth.
Requirements
  • A strong foundation in Physiotherapy, with a BSc (Hons) degree.
  • Membership of the relevant governing body, demonstrating commitment to professional standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and accurate English, essential for effective communication.
  • A deep understanding of the impact of work on individuals and the effects of ill health on work capability.
  • Knowledge of CBT principles and motivational interviewing techniques, highly desirable.
