Cost Management Professional

We are looking for a highly skilled Cost Management Professional to join our team in Weybridge or Aberdeen. As a key member of our Upstream business, you will play a crucial role in supporting effective Project Control delivery through proactive cost and progress monitoring and management of Risks & Opportunities registers.
This is a fixed term maternity cover for 12 months.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Project Controls Team Lead with monitoring spend profile versus approved control budget (AFEs) and re-forecast costs with scope changes.
- Preparing appropriate work programmes and budgets.
- Coordinating departmental budget through robust cost control.
- Ensuring that the Upstream Management Team is regularly appraised of operational status.
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors regarding managing their budgets, change management & cost forecasts.
- Liaising with the Finance Manager on updating Corporate Risk and Opportunity Register.
- Coordinating regular input into Functional Risk and Opportunity Register.
- Promoting effective communication between project teams, operations team, and internal support functions.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate records of project expenditure and identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Providing regular project updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Project Controls and/or Project Management Qualification.
- Degree Level Education.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- 3-5 Years Oil & Gas experience in project controls.
- Experience in H&S Risk Assessment.
- Experience in planning for and monitoring small projects.
- Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer
The salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
