Main Duties

The successful candidate will assist our community psychiatric nurses in the ongoing assessment, planning, management, and evaluation of the delivery of care in a community setting to individuals who have complex mental health needs and significant forensic histories.

Person Specification
  • Minimum of QCF Level 3 in Health or willingness to complete in an agreed timeframe
  • Significant experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant within a Forensic Mental Health role
  • Previous relevant experience in specialty
Knowledge and Skills
  • Evidence of maintaining personal development
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the scope of the role in the context of the nursing team
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales
Apptitude and Abilities
  • Able to undertake specific procedures involving physical skills commensurate with practice area
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers
Other Essential Criteria
  • Able to participate with a rotating shift pattern
  • Excellent timekeeping and a flexible approach to work
