Job Title: Legal Cashier

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking Law firm to recruit a dynamic, hands-on and experienced Legal Cashier for their Gloucester, Gloucestershire office.

About the Role

This permanent Legal Cashier role offers a competitive salary between £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. A great opportunity to really add value and support a successful and growing legal firm reporting directly to the Partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority Accounts Rules
  • Support the use and operation of the firm accounting systems
  • Ensure all banking is completed daily
  • Support with the posting of bills and authorising of invoices
  • Liaise directly with the clients when receiving payments
  • Support the operations of the department's credit control system
  • Manage petty cash procedures
  • Manage your own work allocation and productivity
  • Be involved in ad-hoc duties and projects for senior management
Requirements
  • Experience within a similar position
  • Proven experience within a Law firm in a legal cashier role with knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Ability to adapt to business needs
  • Willing to learn
  • Knowledge of legal accounting systems and MS excel
  • Strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships at all levels
  • Used to managing your own workloads and meeting deadlines
  • Used to a fast-paced environment with key problem-solving skills
