Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs in a temporary, full-time capacity within an educational setting in the East of England.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve learning objectives. This will involve implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that fosters academic growth and well-being.

The role requires close collaboration and communication with teachers, other professionals, and parents to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a patient demeanor, and a passion for working with individuals with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one assistance to students with SEN
  • Implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, other professionals, and parents to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN

Estimated Salary:£23,000 - £24,000 per annum based on 12 months employment at 37 hours per week (£83.85 - £85 per day rate)
