Project Supervisor Opportunity

Latcom Plc, a leading Archaeology firm based in Lincolnshire, is seeking a highly skilled Project Supervisor to join their field team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to advance their career in a dynamic and passionate organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing teams of experienced archaeologists and trainees on a range of projects across the UK, with a focus on the East Midlands and East Anglia. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the company's mission and work in a vibrant and reasonably priced medieval cathedral city.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing commercial fieldwork initiatives in the UK, including watching briefs and short evaluations
  • Writing grey literature reports
  • Managing teams of archaeologists and trainees
  • Coordinating fieldwork projects across the UK

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of British archaeology across all eras
  • Familiarity with post-excavation reporting and analysis
  • A keen interest in and proficiency with field archaeology techniques
  • The ability to operate alone or as a team leader with courtesy and professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficiency with GIS software
  • Prior experience managing employees
  • Attention to detail
  • A driver's license

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant archaeological training
  • Familiarity with GIS software like QGIS3
  • Membership in CIFRA
