We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Peregrine. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods, works, and services to support our Energy Nuclear Operations fleet of Nuclear Power Stations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability, ensuring supply chain risks are understood and managed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within procurement and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining and improving necessary systems for in-house, statutory, and regulatory reporting.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a procurement and/or similar environment.
- High standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills, and supplier management.
- Good project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk, and opportunity management.
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and with responsibility for delivery, escalating concerns.
