Job Title: Clinical Lead / Consultant in Geriatric Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead / Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a senior medical professional to lead and develop our Geriatric Medicine services. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in Geriatric Medicine, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Geriatric Medicine, with experience in clinical leadership and management. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Geriatric Medicine
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our Geriatric Medicine services
  • Lead and manage a team of medical professionals
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Completed at least 12 years full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a part-time basis) or have equivalent experience and competencies
  • At least 6 years UK experience in Geriatric Medicine
  • MRCP or equivalent OR Diploma in Geriatric Medicine
  • Practices with the professional values and behaviours expected of all doctors as set out in the GMC Good Medical Practice
  • MSc in Geriatrics
  • SCE (Specialty Certificate Examination) in Geriatric Medicine
