About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our team at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of our Elderly Care team, you will be responsible for providing senior medical cover and clinical leadership within our Geriatric Medicine department.

Main Duties
  • Provide senior medical cover and clinical leadership within our Geriatric Medicine department
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our Geriatric Medicine service
  • Participate in educational and research activities to advance the field of Geriatric Medicine

Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Completed at least 12 years full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a part-time basis) or equivalent experience and competencies
  • At least 6 years UK experience in Geriatric Medicine
  • MRCP or equivalent OR Diploma in Geriatric Medicine
  • Practices with the professional values and behaviours expected of all doctors as set out in the GMC Good Medical Practice and the Generic Professional Capabilities Framework (or equivalent for dentists)
